HSU Music Department

The Music Department at Humboldt State University seeks to be engaged with music as a performing art; to investigate music as a discipline with a considerable and global body of scholarship, and to promote music as a deeply rewarding lifelong area of expression. They host a variety of concerts throughout the academic school year, with both student and guest performances, held in Fulkerson Recital Hall.

Eureka Chamber Series

The Eureka Chamber Music Series is committed to featuring entertaining, impassioned and profound performances in Humboldt County. Ensembles come from close as San Francisco and as far afield as London, each with its own distinctive voice, each representing the best of the next generation. The “Concert + Conversation” series is held on the Sunday following each concert. Our artists also reach out to students and adults in the community to expand their musical horizons.
