The Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival presents Pianist Ian Scarfe and cellist Charles Akert in an evening of music and storytelling entitled “Shifting Balance”, featuring music by Beethoven, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Cassado. Find out which passages are Charly's favorites, what the duo argued about in rehearsals, and why Ian calls Schumann's music “way out there.” The Scarfe-Akert Duo have performed together since 2007, and have a long history of concerts across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
